Cirkut Cameras and Panoramic Photography with Doug Grosjean

When large groups gathered in the first half of the 20th century, there was often a Cirkut photographer taking their picture. The completed panoramic photos, called 'yard longs' were taken using the amazing rotating Cirkut camera. Northwest Ohio photographer Doug Grosjean, himself the proud owner of a 1919 10" Cirkut camera, will discuss the history of the panoramic camera and the photographers who documented the people and events across America on Thursday, October 23, at 7 pm. Doug will display vintage panoramic photos along with photos taken with his Cirkut and other panoramic cameras. The program is free, but the library recommends that you call 419-547-7174 to reserve your seat.

Tim Billings will talk about the extra steps you can take beyond regularly scheduled maintenance - like keeping your tires inflated or checking your belts on a regular basis - to make sure your car is getting as many miles per gallon of fuel as possible.
