TEEN SUMMER READING
The Clyde Public Library isn’t just for little kids in the summer time! There is a lot going on this summer for teens. Readers, get ready! Sign up at the library for Really Big Reading Rewards. Each book you read and review this summer gets you an entry in the drawing to win a $100 gift card – anyone going into grade 7 on up to grade 12 this fall can participate. Teens can also learn to speak and write Japanese in a two month, three times a week course taught by college student Kirstyn Elder. Kirstyn just spent the last year in Japan. Get more information and sign up at the Library. And if you are interested in duct tape, music, youtube, floam, mythbusting, hunger games, cooking challenges, Harry Potter, Boy Bands, performing, and just having fun, come to SPLAT - Summer Public Library Activities for Teens – at the Clyde Public Library each Wednesday from 3 to 5 p.m. starting June 11. You don’t have to sign up, just show up. More information available at the Library and at clydesplat.blogspot.com.
Students in 7th grade on up are invited to participate in SPLAT (Superb Public Library Activities for Teens). In addition to a variety of activities, teens also serve as advisors and recommend books, magazines, DVDs, and CDs.
