CLYDE PUBLIC SEED LIBRARY
Last year the Library received donations of flower seeds from area individuals, and we are starting a seed library. A growing trend in libraries and communities throughout the country, seed libraries encourage gardening and seed saving, plus they help preserve heirloom seeds. Area gardeners Angel Mitchell, Mary Dwight, and Kathy and Rachel Sanford helped clean and package seeds recently, and the free packets from the Seed Library will be available to library card holders. The seeds are located upstairs near the adult services desk.
The Clyde Public Library's local history preservation effort, the Thaddeus B. Hurd Digital Archive is a database of documents and images of area interest. Included are Clyde directories of 1885, 1907, and 1913, which, along with These Things Stay By You, are searchable.
Check it out - you just might see a relative or two!
